Camping with our Besties

Went to eastern Washington for a best friends camping trip a while back. I have gotten pretty dang good with those dutch ovens and I think my boys just love being outside as much as possible. It was a blast! We saw the Grand Coulee dam laser show and got to play in the "mighty Columbia." Parker only had one minor injury when he tried to pick up one of the coals on top of my dutch ovens and he burned the tips of three fingers, poor boy. He loved being in the tent and jumping on our air mattress. We already decided that we are making this an annual camping trip with our best friends.

Mt. Adams 2012

Seth has been training for Mt. Rainier, which he already did weeks ago, but I have been going on plenty of training hikes with him. I am too much of a pansy to do Rainier so we went and did Adams for fun. It was a blast! Seth, nicknamed Sherpa Seth, carried up 2 sleeping bags and two tents (2man and 3man) plus all his other gear! He is crazy strong.  Its been a long time since I posted. We are going through all our pics and adding them to an external hard drive so our entire summer isn't on here and I've got better things to do than go look for it. But here are pics from Mt. Adams. Luckily, this time no one was severely sunburned. We will go again in a few weeks. Its a really fun trip and gives you a taste of altitude.

Mom Time

We have been having a lot of mom time lately. When Seth is at work I decided to take advantage of my time and do mom stuff with Parker. Here we are making pizza dough to make one of our very favorite foods.

Biking in Seattle

We haven't posted in a while and frankly, we don't even have a legitimate excuse. We have just been playing inside and staying busy and playing outside. Some of our play outside has included biking around Greenlake with two of our best friends Randy and Jaime. Parker LOVES going on bike rides, the Copilot has probably been the best purchase we've made in a long time. His new word is "very" so I get a good workout in when he asks to go "very fast very fast!" And pictured above is the new face he learned how to make when he's being a stinker.

Snow Storms are the best

Until the power goes out. But we love the snow and we played hard all week. We only took pictures on day one but its a good thing Parker has three snowsuits!

Brazil

Traveling (airplane, bus, taxi) for 26+ hours is exhausting.

The largest church in Sao Paulo has this image that apparently people make a pilgrimage to come and see.
