Benicia House

Somehow we scored a house! We love it and welcome anyone who wants to stop by. Granted, we are only here for a month, but we are living it up as much as we can until we move to Sonora. We have our own washer and dryer too! It is in Benicia, a nice little town.  It is a great blessing to be here and not in a Residence Inn.  The ward here is great too! Seth is happy that we are close to the Jelly Belly Factory and I am happy that we are close to a Costco.

A panoramic view from the dock... beautiful

The kitchen... thats right, with a dish washer too. Oh, ignore the bottle of wine on the counter, the owner of the house gave it to us as a gift

This is from the widows walk upstairs... over looks the park and the east bay

The upstairs living room

The upstairs bathroom, there are 2 bathrooms in the house but they both look exactly the same

The "romantic" room

The blue room... we couldn't think of a better name for it

Our room... its a little girly but has vaulted ceilings and the biggest closet

Where Dreams Come True...

After leaving Placerville, Seth and I were planning on taking a trip to Disneyland with Katie and Russell... but one thing led to another and we got really excited about going that we wanted to share the experience with others. Plus, after Audrey and Toren were newly married and living in Utah, where I was going to school, they would take me out with them sometimes and spoil me... But we have no family living anywhere close to us... so we decided to fly down Cristina and Jordan to go to Disneyland. Jordan was a first timer so he was really excited. But here are some exciting pictures of Disneyland, the magical place where dreams come true and throwing up is inevitable on the teacups.

The boys in line for Space Mountain, one the of best roller coasters at the park

After watching "It's Tough To Be A Bug"

This is us waiting in line for the Toy Story ride, its our favorite!

F.H.E. the first of many to come...

Our first Monday here in good ol' Placerville we had our first family home evening (I'm posting this so late because we can finally put pictures on now). I gave a wonderful lesson on "families" and then Seth was in charge of the game... so we played a few intense rounds of speed. He won. Then I was in charge of the dessert. So we made donuts! It took a few practice rounds to get the right technique down but now we are donut making pros. Look out Krispy Kreme!

Weekend in San Fran

This last weekend we went to San Francisco! Russell drove over from Tahoe, where he is currently working, and on Friday we drove to San Jose to stay with Russell's sister, Katy. On Saturday morning we got up relatively early for a weekend and headed to San Fran. We all had a blast. Katy was acting as our tour guide and showing us around town. I had never been there before. It is somewhat similar to Seattle but a whole lot bigger and a whole lot cleaner. We walked along the pier, took a lot of pictures with Alcatraz in the background, ate authentic clam chowder and fish and chips... although I never understood why they call the fries "chips." We even drove down Lombard Street, which is famous for being the crookedest or most winding street in the world! It was a great weekend. Up next on our adventurous weekends... Disneyland! And we each get to invite a friend... So I'm flying down my sister, Cristina, and Seth is flying down his brother, Jordan. It'll be a family event to remember!!!

You can't see it very well but Alcatraz is right behind us

This is just to the left of Lombard Street

Russell was making us work the camera
